It all starts in small farms in Latin American countries, where cacao trees are grown for their beans. From the sultry tropical mountains of Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and other countries, the cacao beans are then sent across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe where they are processed in Belgium – the source of the world’s finest, smoothest chocolate since the 17th century.
Just like real tequila is only made in Tequila, Mexico, true Belgian chocolate is always from Belgium!
The Belgian chocolate is shipped to Mexico in large blocks, which are broken down by hand and carefully tempered until smooth and creamy enough to pour into molds or mix with other ingredients to make our legendary truffles, bars, barks, and bites. Only the highest quality ingredients make the grade to combine with our chocolate, because we want each and every taste of Xocodiva to be a work of art.
